The Hungry Ones: A Warning on Psychic Vampires
The Hungry Ones: A Warning on Psychic Vampires
By Arcana Noire
There are creatures that don’t need fangs to feed.
They walk among us with hollow smiles and endless needs people who devour your peace, sap your strength, and leave you brittle without ever lifting a hand. These are the Psychic Vampires.
Unlike myths of blood and night, these parasites feed on your energy, your spirit, your life-force. And they are often unaware of the feast they’re having.
When a psychic vampire strikes, they experience a surge of vitality, as if suddenly awakened or empowered while the victim spirals into fatigue, confusion, or inexplicable sadness. These attacks tend to occur when the vampire’s own energy is running low. They instinctively latch onto those who radiate power, joy, or stability, drawing it out like breath from lungs.
Not all psychic vampires are malevolent. Many are broken souls—lonely, emotionally stunted, or spiritually starved. They cling, they guilt, they seek attention and reassurance like a child begging at the edge of your aura. But make no mistake: whether intentional or not, they drain.
Even the kindest witch can become prey. And that’s where the real danger lies.
You must guard your energy like sacred flame. Set wards, carry obsidian, use salt baths. Protect your emotional boundaries. Your compassion is noble—but do not let it make you vulnerable to those who see your light and feel entitled to it.
Signs you are being drained:
Sudden exhaustion around specific people
Feelings of guilt or obligation not your own
Frequent headaches or heavy sleep after contact
Mood swings or drop in confidence
Feeling like you're "not yourself" anymore
Common traits of psychic vampires:
Deep-seated abandonment wounds
Constant need for validation
Easily jealous or manipulative
Chronic dissatisfaction, no matter what you give
A pattern of leaving others feeling tired or emotionally unstable
Energy must be exchanged, not stolen. When there is no balance, there is violation. I don’t just call it parasitism I call it a curse in motion.
You don’t owe your vitality to anyone. You don’t exist to feed the hungry ghosts in human skin.
And if you need help severing the cords they’ve tied to your spirit… you know where to find me.
